This eliminates that layer entirely: 2" Yellow/Silver/Yellow segmented FR reflective trim heat-sealed directly to the fabric — not sewn on — so it's lighter, more flexible, and moves with you through a full shift.
The 7.7 oz 88/12 Westex® fabric (88% cotton, 12% nylon) is the industrial laundry standard: the nylon content adds durability and abrasion resistance that pure cotton can't match, and the fabric survives repeated commercial laundering without breaking down. FR protection is guaranteed for the life of the garment.
With a 9.2 cal/cm² arc rating (ATPV), CAT 2 — NFPA 70E, ASTM F1506, NFPA 2112 certified by UL — and ANSI/ISEA 107-2015 Class 3 Type R certified for high-visibility, it meets both electrical safety and visibility standards in a single garment.
